Working towards a sustainable use of land

As an interdisciplinary Think Tank Agora Agrar leads the way towards regenerative systems for food, agriculture and forestry.

Food, agriculture and forestry are of great importance for climate neutrality, preservation of biodiversity and other key sustainability goals on both national and international level. The necessary knowledge on how to achieve these goals is largely available. Nevertheless, current agricultural, forestry and food policies in Germany and the EU are not sufficiently aligned with these objectives. That is something the Agora Agrar team wants to change.

The independent think tank Agora Agrar works on the transformation of central fields of action at the interface of science, politics, society and the private sector. Its objective is to help ensure that democratically negotiated sustainability goals are achieved and to support future social negotiation processes for this transformation.
