Through B Lab a growing community comes together to join the B Corp movement and set new standards for entrepreneurship.
The B Corp Movement is a growing global movement of companies large and small that are actively promoting a sustainable, social and fair future. There are over 5,000 certified B Corporations worldwide, including Patagonia, The Guardian and Sympatex. All of them believe that entrepreneurship is an obligation and therefore pledge to create social value and environmental sustainability in their statutes.
As a community based movement, B Lab supports representatives from business, academia and civil society establishing a responsible, ecologically sustainable and socially fair economy as the new status quo in Germany, Europe and all around the world.
Together with other funders, alv enabled the movement to start in Germany and supported the educational and community work of B Labs.
At the same time, alv supported scientific research at the interface of the financial market and the B Corp Movement to explore hurdles and opportunities of sustainable financing channels.
