Daughters for Earth is a fund and movement focused on supporting, celebrating and mobilizing women to protect and restore Earth.
Recognizing the pivotal role of women-led environmental initiatives in addressing climate challenges, Daughters for Earth is building a $100 million philanthropic fund to support nature-based climate solutions and mobilizing women to become actively engaged in protecting Earth.
One exemplary leader in this movement is Alexandra Narváez, who passionately advocates for women’s leadership and their pivotal role in defending Indigenous autonomy and protecting their lands and cultures – despite facing resistance from patriarchal structures. Notably, she played a key role in her community’s legal battle against the Ecuadorian government, resulting in the cancellation of 52 gold mining concessions and the protection of vast rainforest territories.
Daughters for Earth firmly believes in the transformative power of women like Narváez. They are equally convinced that the women's impact would be amplified with support and access to the right resources.
